Awareness Motorcycle Conga/Ride
In early August 2010 a group of passionate motorcycle riders will
leave Grand Prairie Alberta and ride across Canada to the Wharf Rat
Rally, Canada's biggest motorcycle rally in Digby Nova Scotia. "This
will be an incredible ride, which will attract hundreds of motorcycle
riders to a worthy cause and have them join a conga type line as it
travels across Canada." says Glenn Dunn, Chairman, Wharf Rat
Rally. Peter Robertson, co-founder and executive director of the Wharf
Rat Rally. Along the way hundreds of riders will join up with the
awareness riders for a few hours to a few days.
The Wharf Rat Rally is a Digby Nova Scotia based five day event presented
by the not-for-profit Wharf Rat Rally Motorcycle Association. Now
in its sixth year, attendance has grown from 10,000 in 2005 to a projected
to attract 94,000 in 2010 making it one of Nova Scotia's largest tourism
events and the largest motorcycle rally in Canada. The event has been
the recipient of the Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia (TIANS)
Ambassador Award in 2009 and the Motorcycle Regional Award of the
North American International Motorcycle Supershow.

Canada’s top motorcycle riders compete in a doubleheader points
race for the national Parts Canada Superbike Championship. Mosport
is the premier stop of the season for the Superbikes, along with
other national classes including the Yoshimura Pro Sport Bike, Armour
Bodies Amateur Sport Bike, the Honda CBR125R Challenge and a new
Sports Twins Pro/Am division. Off track features include the BMW
Motorrad SummerFest (with on& off road bikes to test, live music
and riding merchandise), plus demo rides featuring the latest bikes
from top manufacturers.

Another Road Trip ...is a Non-Charity Ride
Many of us attend numerous charity rides of our choice.
All of these rides benefit someone that we care about or provide
financial support for charities and research for many worthwhile
foundations. This ride is not to take away from these Charity rides. This ride is for the riders!
This ride is to remember and reflect on someone’s life and
how they have touched and affected us in so many ways during their
time with us. That person could be a relative, friend, co-worker,
someone we know through others or even our men & women representing
our country overseas that have given their all for a cause.
Registration starts at 9 am at Clarington Honda Powerhouse in Bowmanville,
we will then be taking a ride east through some beautiful countryside,
including around Prince Edward county. Some points of interest will
be marked on the maps which will guide you on this ride to our final
destination. Please mark your calendar and pre-register your intent
